COYS Back Up!

We're pleased to say the update was successful and COYS is back up and running. Stay tuned for ninjaspur's special treat, which should be available shortly.

Outage for Upgrade

COYSers --- The great Gunther will be taking COYS offline on Friday morning at 3am (GMT) to upgrade the board from v3.1.2 to v3.1.4. If all goes well, we should be back up and running by 6am. Apologies to the nightshift for the inconvenience

Serious problems continue Gunter the Gnome worked through the night but probelms remain. Prof is working on the problem now but COYS is likely to be out for some time yet.

The migration is 3/4 complete. Gunther and ninjaspur are running approximately 3 hours ahead of prof's schedule. Fingers crossed that we don't need to use this time as contingency.

Monday 16th August - Performance and Availability

We are experiencing degraded performance and availability issues, this is die to the sheer number of connections. Unfortunately once we get performance issues, if anyone keeps refreshing of trying top open a new connection this the increases the load issue.

The site may continue to have issues like this until at least 13:00 BST.

Server Upgrade

++++ COYS is now being migrated to a new Server and new domain. ++++


The cutover to the new COYS server will take place on March 7th/8th 2010.

(1) COYS will be brought down at 23:59 GMT on Sunday March 7th.

(2) We will endeavour to have us back up and running by 06:00 on Monday March 8th. If all goes well, it is possible that COYS will be available earlier than this. You can try and access the site any time after 03:00 GMT ...... and see if your luck is in.

(3) The new address (URL) for COYS will be

so FROM MONDAY MARCH 8th, you will need to update any bookmarks you use, and/or log in again if you have your login details saved.

Strain on the server

As things near the end of the transfer window the strain of the server is affecting access to COYS. Anything around 250 people on-line at once is problematic so there maybe temporary breaks in service over the next few days.
