Service Update 30th April

As communicated on the site, we are still experiencing performance issues and crashes under load, these will occur over the next few days until we are able to tune the new software and back end processing. Thank you for your patience COYS Admin team

"As you've probably surmised, integrating the fixes and upgrades has been problematic and is still ongoing. Although it could be sooner, COYS might not be available until Monday. We are doing all that we can to recover from this attack. Our apologies for the delay.

Service Update 29/04/12

Afternoon, COYSers. Ninjaspur and Gunther worked through the night to upgrade all our board and server software. However, because we have had to install these upgrades without going through our usual testing process, although the site is up and available some of the time, there are some major perfomance problems which are causing slow response times and crashes. We hope to get to a usual service as soon as possible.

Update: The attack on our board software is significant and severe. ninjaspur and Gunther are working hard to clean up the mess. However, they will not re-open the site until they are confident that our software is completely clean. It is likely that we will need to reinstall the board software to ensure that all infections are removed. Therefore, it is possible that COYS will remain closed until Sunday. We apologise for the loss of service and thank you for your patience. COYS.

COYS Status Update

The security of the site and your own experience is a high priority for COYS. Until we can be sure that the site attack that has been detected poses no further risk to COYS and its members, we have taken the site down and will work with the hosting service and software vendor.
