Update

We had some trouble with the backups and with mail migration. We discussed the options and decided it was best to abort the stress test for now. The stress test will be delayed until we can fix those two problems. Sorry.

From 4pm BST today the existing COYS platform will be down for a significant period of time, in preparation for the upcoming move.

The good news is that the test site for the new platform will be open to ALL COYSers to use while the current site is closed. Please log in to the test site and use it as you would the live site. A feedback thread has been set up in the BNL on the test site.

Despite our efforts, response times are getting worse again. We're going to have to take the site offline for all groups (save for mods and sponsors) while the gnomes try to make improvements. This could last anywhere from an hour to several days.

Update - back on line 18/7/13

The situation seems as stable as we'll get it for a while (i.e. we known the up and down cycle is to be expected) so we're going to re-open the site to all. It's a risk and COYSers will have to be accepting of the fact that if performance gets worse we'll have to block most groups again.

We are getting frequent sporadic spikes in CPU usage that cause the site to become unresponsive. When these spikes occur, please show patience and do not make multiple posts. Thanks.
